Japanese Translation & Typesetting
Welcome
You have reached the home page of Philip Ronan, a freelance Japanese translator and typesetter based in Exeter, Devon. This page briefly describes the services I have to offer. To continue, please select one of the following options:
- Japanese Translation:
- I have over 10 years' experience in Japanese-to-English translation, and have been working as a freelance translator since 1996. I have a degree in engineering (Cambridge University, 1989) and specialize in technical translations, although I am willing to consider translations in any field. I also translate business cards into Japanese.
- Japanese Typesetting:
- I can also render Japanese text to any specification. I have access to a wide range of Japanese fonts, and can either produce camera-ready copy here or provide you with high-resolution bitmap or vector graphics files to use as you wish.
- Portfolio:
- Please take a look through this section if you are interested in finding out a little more about the sort of work I do.
- Contact:
- I provide free quotations for jobs of any size. If you need to get in touch, please send me a message and I will contact you back as soon as possible.
Latest addition
Would you like to see how your name is written in Japanese? I recently added a dictionary of English names in Japanese which shows how English names can be written using the Japanese katakana alphabet.
